Ante Zglav was born in Zagreb in 1993. Having spent his youth in Split, he moved back to Zagreb in 2011 to study at the University of Zagreb Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing (UNIZG-FER). He chose to specialize in automation and robotics and completed his studies in 2016, earning his master's degree. Having finished his masters thesis on the field of torque control of a SCARA robot arm under prof. Zdenko Kovačić, Ante Zglav joined LARICS to work full-time on the project ADELE. Over the course of the project, he successfully developed a solution, based on constrained multi-objective genetic algorithms, which tunes the parameters of a diesel LNT catalyst using response data. During his stay at LARICS, he also led the laboratory exercises in control systems elements. Having finished the ADELE project, he sought further challenges and opportunities by working as a control systems and machine learning engineer at Ascalia Ltd, a promising young company in the field of Industry 4.0 and Smart City Solutions.
