Dean Martinović was born in 1981 in Stuttgart, Germany. In October 2010, he graduated from the University of Stuttgart Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. After graduation, he worked in the automotive industry as embedded software developer on AUTOSAR software components. After returning to the University of Stuttgart in 2012, he completed his Ph.D. in the area of magnetic field based localization systems for inductive charging purposes of electric vehicles. He received the Gustav-Magenwirth Award in 2018 for his research. He is currently working as postdoc in the Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems (LARICS).
