Marijana Peti, M.Sc.
Ph.D. student, Assistant/Researcher

Marijana Peti was born in Zagreb, Croatia, in 1996. She received the bachelor’s degree and the master’s degree (magna cum laude) in electrical engineering specialized in control and autonomous systems from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, in 2018 and 2020, respectively, where she is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree in control engineering and automation. During her education, she received Dean's Awards and the City of Zagreb scholarships due to her academic success.  

In 2020, she joined the Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, University of Zagreb, as a Research Associate.  

She was a team member at MBZIRC 2023, working on the autonomous UAV search task operating in a GNSS-denied environment. Additionally, she contributed to the EU-funded project EKOKOMVOZ and was part of the organizing committee for DroneDays. She is currently involved in organizing the ICUAS 2025 Student Competition. 

She authored and co-authored several peer-reviewed journal and conference papers. She attended DeepLearn 2022 Spring International School on Deep Learning and the IEEE RAS Summer School on Multi-Robot Systems in 2023. 

Her research interests include control of multi-robot systems and aerial robotics. In addition to her research in robotics, she is actively involved in promoting STEM education among childern through her volunteer work with the STEMALICA organization by organizing workshops and classes aimed at developing skills in programming and technology.
