Phoenix Lidar Systems' mission is to build complete seamless, easy-to-use mapping solutions by crafting and combining quality hardware, innovative and intuitive software, all while remaining as flexible as possible. LARICS is collaborating with Phoenix Lidar Systems on employing SLAM technology (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) to provide localization in GPS-denied indoor environments.
While real-time kinematic (RTK) GPS-based solutions provide very accurate localization outdoors, they are not applicable in indoor GPS-denied environments. LARICS is applying state-of-the-art SLAM technology for performing indoor localization and seamlessly fusing indoor and outdoor data into a geo-referenced environment map.
