This application proposes an innovative concept for a pilot support system during autonomous wind turbine inspections using unmanned multirotor aircraft. Such a system, in addition to generating significant market interest with its innovative concept, would reduce the time required for inspections and provide substantial benefits to wind farm operators by eliminating the need to stop wind turbines. The activities, ranging from system development and experimental validation to commercialization strategy planning and market analysis, will be handled by the LARICS laboratory at FER, in collaboration with partners from ICENT. Upon project completion, the goal is to license the technology to an appropriate spin-off company and launch the product on the market.
