System for Omnidirectional Movement on the Outside of the Pipe in Closed and Hard-to-reach Environme

Project Name: System for Omnidirectional Movement on the Outside of the Pipe in Closed and Hard-to-reach Environments
Project Acronym: SEGVAC
Dates: 01.03.2024. – 28.02.2025.
Total budget: 65.896,14 EUR
Funding: NPOO – 2021.-2026.
Grant Agreement Number: NPOO.C3.2.R3-I1.01.0229

Overview

The aim of the project is to create a prototype, verify and prove the technical feasibility of an innovative concept describing a robotic system for omnidirectional movement on the outside of pipes in closed and hard-to-reach spaces. If the concept of the proposed robotic system proves successful, it would make a significant contribution to reducing production costs in various industrial sectors (petrochemical industry, metal industry, textile industry) and increase the efficiency and repeatability of operations such as the inspection and maintenance of closed, hard-to-reach and large spaces, inspection and prediction of the integrity of transport infrastructures, mechanical processing of materials, machining, corrosion protection, etc.
