LARICS researcher Edin Kočo spent 5 days in France participating in the international competition Solar Decathlon Europe 2014 in Versailles, where universities demonstrate their concepts of low energy and smart housing. During the project, Edin worked on the development of a wireless sensor network that is used as a monitoring system for various parameters of the house (humidity, pressure, temperature, luminosity, gas leaks…) and as a feedback for smart HVAC control using a model predictive controller.
