LARICS to compete in a prestigious...

Our Lab will implement our newest methods and algorithms for our new project, the Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC)! The leader of this project for LARICS is our Frano Petric. This is a competition where the contestants meet with various demanding problems in robotics, which means that it is a great chance for our team to develop new technology and solutions, which will be presented at the competition itself, to be held in 2020. in Abu Dhabi.

This competition was started last year by the Khalifa University in the United Arab Emirates with the goal of providing a scientific and technological challenge in robotics for a greater number of international teams. As part of this, the Lab will mostly focus on developing algorithms for complex tasks between aerial and ground robots (such as locating an object, picking it up and moving it, etc) and to conduct a quantitative research of the impact every individual task has on the entire mission plan (calculating the necessary energy and time per task).
