FER’s Faculty Council, on its meeting held on December 14, 2011, adopted a decision on the establishment of the two new research laboratories at FER:
- Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems (acronym: LARICS); Head of the laboratory: Professor Zdenko Kovačić;
- Laboratory for Underwater Systems and Technologies (acronym: LABUST); Head of the laboratory: Professor Zoran Vukić;
Founded in 1996 as the Fuzzy Logic and Robotics Control Group, changing its name to the Laboratory for Robotics and Intelligent Control Systems in 1999, LARICS went away from the informal research group to the first formally established research laboratory at FER. We would like to thank all young researchers and students who worked in our lab and made this happen
