Darko Dužanec successfully defended his doctoral dissertation and received a Doctor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. Darko’s thesis was entitled “Improved microgenetic algorithms in control of robot systems”. The main results of his work are the method for determining optimal parameters of microgenetic algorithms based on known parameters of the optimal genetic algorithm, a thorough analysis of the microgenetic algorithm based on the use of Markov chains, and the introduction of a new solution space contraction parameter which increases the precision of the solution.
