Prof. Zdenko Kovačić was a participant of the 2nd IEEE International Conference on E-Learning in Industrial Electronics where he presented the paper entitled „An Internet-based System for Remote Planning and Execution of SCARA Robot Trajectories“. The conference was organized in parallel with the 34th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IECON-2008). It was nice to find out that our concept of internet accessible laboratory was competitive with similar concepts developed by research groups from Vienna, Maribor, and Athens.
Prof. Nedjeljko Perić and Ph.D. student Mato Jelavić, both from the Department of Control and Computer Engineering in Zagreb were there too. Prof. Perić and Prof. Kovačić used the opportunity to watch the NBA game Orlando Magic vs. Portland Trail Blazers and visit a really fantastic Disneyland theme-park Epcot dedicated to technology and energy. It was quite amazing that in only one day they became big stars of Disney (see the cartoon (AVI 15 MB) if you do not believe).
