Stjepan Bogdan and Zdenko Kovacic participated in the MED07 post-conference Workshop on Networked Systems for Intelligent Sensing and Control organized by Professors Panos Antsaklis and Manolis Christodoulou in Kalamata, a picturesque Greek resort known worldwide for extra quality virgin olive oil. Stjepan's paper “Decentralized decision making in multi-agent systems” presented a methodology for decision making in the systems with multiple agents driven not only by repulsion and attraction forces but also by a self-generated force. Zdenko`s paper “Network-based System for Intelligent Video Surveillance, Control and Alarm Generation in Security Applications” described the implementation of an integrated video-based surveillance system able to perform different tasks such as detection of human motion, recognition of human objects, counting people traffic, as well as keeping record of a current number of people in the surveyed area.
