Professors Zdenko Kovačić and Stjepan Bogdan were on the USA tour visiting two universities – The Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Stillwater and the University of Texas (UTA), The Automation and Robotics Research Institute (ARRI) in Arlington. They gave a thorough presentation of LARICS research work and had fruitful discussions with Professor Rafael Fierro and his colleagues about enhancing collaboration between two entities.
During meetings with Prof. Reid (Dean of College of Engineering), Prof. Tree (Associate Dean for Research) and Prof. Teague (Head of School of EE&C), strong support was given to the further joint actions. At ARRI, Z.K & S.B participated in the two-day Systems Workshop on Adaptive & Networks SWAN 06 organized by Professor Frank. L. Lewis. In the very inspiring and friendly atmosphere, five generations of advisors – students gathered and presented their current research work. The peak of the social program was a dinner in one of the best US restaurants – Texas de Brazil.
