Prof. Zdenko Kovačić attended the European Conference on Mobile Robots held in Prague, Czech Republic, where he presented the poster titled “Autonomous Robots as Actors in Robotics Theatre - Tribute to the Centenary of R.U.R.”. The poster contained the description of the proposed research aimed towards developing foundations for the implementation of the play R.U.R. (Rossum’s Universal Robots) of the Czech writer Karel Čapek with Pepper and NAO humanoid robots acting together with human actors. This work was inspired by the 100th anniversary of R.U.R. in 2020 (see video on the LARICS’ YouTube channel).
