LARICS at IFAM 2022, B2B Trade fair...

LARICS has participated at IFAM 2022, B2B Trade fair Robotics in Ljubljana 15.02.-17.02.22. which is the only event in Slovenia and the CEE region that dedicates to robotics and unmanned systems. Robotics is tailor-made for exhibitors and gives them a platform for presenting their range of robot technologies in both industrial and service robot sectors. Prof. Zdenko Kovačić has come with its team, researchers Ivan Hrabar, mag.ing. and Ivo Vatavuk, mag.ing. and project manager Vlatka Kovačević. LARICS had one of the most visited booths. It was very attractive with a mobile manipulator which was „spraying the vineyard“ and there was an automated guided vehicle, forklift the product of spin-off company Romb Technologies. The automated guided forklift is produced in collaboration with the company VAR d.o.o.

More photos from the fair are available in the gallery.

The theme of this fair was agrorobotics and LARICS has presented its 4 projects:

HEKTOR

Heterogeneous autonomous robotic system in viticulture and mariculture

WATCHPLANT

WatchPlant will develop a new biohybrid system technology, a wireless wearable self-powered sensor for in-situ monitoring of urban environments.

SPECULARIA

The project SPECULARIA deals with concepts of compliant robot control, soft robotics, and heterogeneous robotic systems and utilizes them to help farmers in indoor organic agriculture

and  AgroSPARC

The project goal is to develop mathematical models of different growth stages of wheat by applying artificial intelligence and utilizing it for the prediction of crop development and harvest.

First day of the conference prof. Kovačić, prof. Stjepan Bogdan, assoc. prof. Matko Orsag, and asst. prof. Vinko Lešić have presented their projects in front of a crowded audience.

Prof. Kovačić has presented the project HEKTOR, prof. Bogdan the project WATCHPLANT, assoc. prof. Matko Orsag the project SPECULARIA and asst. prof. Vinko Lešić has presented AGROSPARC.

LARICS has also presented its spin-off company Romb Technologies, and its director and LARICS alumni Damjan Miklić, Ph.D. has presented their innovative product autonomous forklift.

It was a very visited Fair and it was so precious to meet actual suppliers and partners and promote LARICS work and projects on such a unique Fair.
