MBZIRC
This project deals with the coordination of a group of autonomous aerial and ground vehicles performing complicated task simultaneously. The robots carry out sophisticated navigation and manipulation tasks in a completely unstructured environment. The envisaged outcome is a novel robot cooperation solution and its implementation into a realistic heterogeneous robot system. Possible applications include disaster response, search and rescue missions and civil construction, just to name a few. The project results will be presented at the 2020 Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge in Abu Dhabi as part of the international competition.

Our project for The Mohamed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge (MBZIRC) has officially started with the kick-off meeting being held on 12th October, 2018 at our Faculty. The meeting was led by our Frano Petric, who is also the head of this project, and many of our staff and researchers attended it to discuss current and future plans for this competition and for the European Robotics Leage (ERL), which we will also be taking part in soon.
